Kennesaw, Georgia — Yamaha Marine Group announces several changes to its OEM technical support department. According to Chuck Butler, OEM technical support manager for Yamaha Marine Group, Dan Tucker and Luis 'Mike' Rodriguez have joined Yamaha as technical support coordinators, and Jarrett Young has been promoted to regional OEM application engineer.
As technical support coordinators, Tucker and Rodriguez will be primarily responsible for providing technical assistance in Yamaha's increasing presence in tournament fishing. This will bring a total of five technical support coordinators and trailers to the tournament fishing circuits. In the role of regional OEM application engineer, Young will be responsible for providing technical support to Yamaha's boat builder partners in areas such as installation of Yamaha outboards and PowerMatched components.
Tucker comes to Yamaha from Stratos/Champion Boats where he performed such duties as propeller testing, tournament support and custom rigging for pro staff boats.
"Dan's marine industry experience will further enhance Yamaha's industry leading support to our pro staff, as well as our customers who participate in highly competitive fishing tournament circuits," said Butler.
Rodriguez previously worked for a contractor where he provided service and maintenance on the fleet of boats operated by various agencies under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
"Mike's experience in high-performance multiple-engine applications will make him a valuable member of our team in providing support in the offshore fishing arena," said Butler.
Young transferred to OEM technical support from the marine field service department where he worked as a district service representative and outboard technical service coordinator for the past three years.
"Jarrett's vast industry knowledge and experience will further solidify the ongoing support of our boat builder customers," said Butler.
