NGPC website offers video tours of state park areas

By admin at Thu, 2006-07-27 22:14 | | Nebraska Fishing News

Lincoln. Neb. – A new addition to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s web site lets visitors watch video clips to get an idea of what they can expect to find when they visit state parks areas across the state.
Video and Radio Production Specialist Ralph Wall, who produced the videos, said “The video previews are an exciting step beyond the usual park brochure. Web site visitors can watch the vignettes for a better idea of what the scenery, services and activities are available at each park area."
There are currently videos of 15 park areas online. The areas are Alexandria State Recreation Area (SRA), Arbor Lodge State Historical Park (SHP), Ashfall Fossil Beds SHP, Buffalo Bill SHP, Calamus SRA, Champion Mill SHP, Eugene T. Mahoney State Park (SP), Fort Hartsuff SHP, Fort Robinson SP, Gallagher Canyon SRA, Indian Cave SP, Johnson Lake SRA, Ponca SP, Smith Falls SP and Victoria Springs SRA. Wall says videos of all of the more than 80 state parks areas will eventually be available.
To view the videos, go to the Commission’s web site at www.OutdoorNebraska.org, and click on “State Parks.” It’s the perfect way to help you decide which of Nebraska’s great state park areas you and your family want to visit this weekend.
