The study includes Swanson Reservoir near Trenton, Enders Reservoir near Imperial, Red Willow near McCook, Medicine Creek Reservoir near Cambridge, and Harlan County Reservoir near Alma and Republican City, which are all within the Republican River watershed. Video and Radio Production Specialist Ralph Wall, who produced the videos, said “The video previews are an exciting step beyond the usual park brochure. Web site visitors can watch the vignettes for a better idea of what the scenery, services and activities are available at each park area."
There are currently videos of 15 park areas online. The areas are Alexandria State Recreation Area (SRA), Arbor Lodge State Historical Park (SHP), Ashfall Fossil Beds SHP, Buffalo Bill SHP, Calamus SRA, Champion Mill SHP, Eugene T. Mahoney State Park (SP), Fort Hartsuff SHP, Fort Robinson SP, Gallagher Canyon SRA, Indian Cave SP, Johnson Lake SRA, Ponca SP, Smith Falls SP and Victoria Springs SRA. Wall says videos of all of the more than 80 state parks areas will eventually be available.
